Grizzly Peak Stables has been located in the Berkeley Hills close to Tilden Park since 1947. A spectacular setting for all equestrian activities. We offer a complete riding lesson program with well-trained lesson horses. We are a complete boarding facility for privately owned horses, with full professional horse care and training catering to your specific needs.

Less than 10 minutes from Berkeley or Orinda, Grizzly Peak Stables is nestled between Volmer Peak (elevation 2000 ft.) and Eureka Peak (elevation 1700 ft.), overlooking Siesta Valley, the home of the California Shakespeare Festival. We are encircled by the most beautiful trail system in California, maintained by the East Bay Regional Park District. These trails and fire roads offer spectacular 360° views of the entire San Francisco Bay area extending to the Pacific Ocean, the Sierra Nevadas, Mt. Tamalpias, the Farallon Islands and Mt. Diablo. An abundance of wildflowers and wildlife, golden eagles and cool ocean breezes set the back drop for Grizzly Peak Stables and are here for your riding pleasure.
